This is a UK hand made single sided leather pocket strop. Constructed from vegetable tanned premium bovine leather on a tumbled aluminium backing.
The leather is trimmed all the way flush to the aluminium backing, unlike most strops where they purposefully undersized the leather. The edges of the leather are carefully bevelled to stop the leather from deforming or fraying, however the bevelling is very slight, to allow you to strop all the way up to a plunge line.
This leather is vegetable tanned bovine. It's very high quality leather and I hand pick pieces to ensure they're as free of defects as possible for an organic material.
The tumbled aluminium backing is the smoothest on the market.
The leather surface is 130mm x 30mm x 3mm. There will be some variation in thickness as leather is a natural material.
